Elevation 800 meters.

Large vertebrate fossils, possibly from several individuals.  Site is cut bank of small stream.  Stream is incised 4 meters into alluvium mantling a dissected late Miocene (?) erosion surface.  Sediment appears to be alluvium from weathered Mesozoic volcanoclastic sediment.

Bota1.jpg - Layers of bones at level of man's left hand.

bota2.jpg - Man is standing on stream bed of bedrock.  Bone horizon appears to be less than meter above stream bed.

bota6.jpg - Samples removed from site.  Bone to right of pencil is in Austin.  Remainder of samples are with property owner.
