Stop 3 - Lake Don Pedro in the background. Here we see igneous rocks - extrusive or volcanic rock. At this stop we also see pyroclastic rock which started with ash and welded or cemented together - forming volcanic breccia. Color is green from the chlorite in the rock. It's Mica like and called Greenstone. We don't see minerals in the Greenstone as it was formed from lava. The tombstones in this area are Greenstone and 150 million years old.

Stop 4 - Moccasin Point - A part of the Bear Mountain Fault. Here we see Serpentine. Peridotite altered to become Serpentine. Serpentine contains Pyrites, Talc, and Asbestos. Mostly igneous - intrusive.

Stop 4 - Moccasin Point - A rock slide occurred exposing granite and diorite.

Stop 4 - Moccasin Point - Veining can be seen in this photo.

Stop 4 - Moccasin Point - Dr. Kimyai pounding home a point to an onlooking student.
