Geology often involves visualizing the relationships of structures above and below the surface of the Earth as well as the changes they experience over millions of years. Because of this, it can at times be a difficult subject. These links are meant to assist students of geology in some of the basic concepts and techniques involved in the study of the Earth. There are also some links to study guides for certain geology courses. If there is anything you would like to see added here, please email us at csusgs@yahoo.com

This is a feature new to the website. Here we offer guides to various locales of geologic interest. These guides will most likely be based on research done by club members and their instructors, and their assembly may take some time. As a result, the selection may be somewhat limited at first. We regret that the guides we will be offering will probably not include those areas used by the CSUS geology department for instructional field surveys. Although we have confidence in our students' academic honesty, we still would like to avoid offering any temptations. Until our field guides are prepared and available on this site, there will be some links to field guides published by other organizations. Enjoy! |
